Perdido Artist Gallery Auction Benefits Wildlife Sanctuary

Perdido Artist Gallery & Gifts and Artworks will hold a popular silent auction to benefit the Northwest Florida Wildlife Sanctuary. The theme is The Pelicans have landed. Participating artists will pick up wooden pelican sketches, take them home to embellish them with the medium of their choice, and send them back to both galleries by February 15. It will be fun to see how each artist uses their talents to bring the pelicans to life.
The pieces will be on display from February 16-28, and the public will be able to visit the galleries, vote for their favorite and place bids to win. Bidding ends at 5 p.m. on February 28. The highest bidders will be notified and will be able to collect their winning pelicans. Samples of finished pelican art will be posted on both galleries’ Facebook pages and websites as they arrive.
All funds raised at the event will go to the wildlife reserve. They provide a safe haven for injured and orphaned native wildlife until it can be safely released. They educate the public through visits, exhibitions and conferences. The sanctuary has been in operation for 40 years and is primarily funded by individual donations from the public. All donations go towards the care and housing of their wildlife patients. Come visit the galleries, have fun and support a good cause.
Perdido Artist Gallery & Gifts is located at 5660 Segura Ave. in Pensacola, one block from Sorrento Road, next to the new Circle K. Artworks is located at 13700 Perdido Key Drive in downtown Villagio on Perdido Key.
