Electronic recycling collection
Several times a year, Friends of the Wildlife Sanctuary and Norsec Computer Recyclers hold an electronics recycling drive at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Norsec Computer Recyclers LLC provides an environmentally friendly solution to electronic device disposal needs.
Remove old televisions, computer equipment (monitors, processors, mice, keyboards, fax machines, printers, networking equipment and all standard office equipment), household electronics such as CD, DVD and VHS players, stereo equipment, vacuum cleaners, clocks, satellite receivers, telephone systems, cell phones, game consoles, household appliances such as microwaves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers and stoves. We also recycle lead-acid, nickel-cadmium and lithium-ion batteries. Basically if it plugs into a wall, you can recycle it. However, we do not accept dry cell batteries or fluorescent bulbs.

Costs: Paid items, since they contain hazardous materials, include:
– Computer monitors $10.00 each
– Televisions $15.00 each; 30″ TVs $30.00
All other IT components and standard household appliances are recycled free of charge, including appliances that contain Frion.
A portion of the recycling fee supports the Friends of the Wildlife Reserve!
Ice cold family fun night
Live animal friends, night walks, horse-drawn wagon rides, bonfire and more!

Location: throughout the park. Parking will be at Bay Beach Amusement Park. Shuttles available.
Proceeds go to friends of the wildlife reserve. Some activities are weather and condition dependent.
Costs: Free for Friends members or $5.00 for a family.

The Friends of the Wildlife Sanctuary will once again hold their annual Easter event at the sanctuary for children ages 3-8 and their parents. Activities will include Easter bag making, simple craft projects, cookie and punch tasting, and egg hunts. Space is limited and PRE-REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY. Call 920-391-3671.

17th Annual Walk for Wildlife
This is our main R-PAWS animal rehabilitation fundraiser! Collect advance walk pledges and/or buy raffle tickets to win great raffle prizes! Howl with the Wildlife Sanctuary’s wolf pack at 8:30 am in the amphitheater. Walkers are invited to enjoy 2.5 miles of scenic trails. Live animal stations are found throughout the walk. They include Sanctuary animal ambassadors, artifacts, and educational animal information.

Join the Thursday morning Optimist Breakfast Club for the kids’ fall adventure at the wildlife sanctuary. Many activities will be offered to children and their parents. The Optimists will also be serving a FREE dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.! All ages are welcome and all activities are FREE!
