Wine and Fauna | Melbourne urban list
Celebrate its tenth anniversary, Healesville Shrine The popular Wine and Wildlife event is back for a winter weekend in the Yarra Valley. There will be ten Yarra Valley producers for the event, with wine, beer and gin available, along with hearty meals and live music.
The great vineyards that will join the party will be Zonzo Estate, Innocent spectator and Oakridge wines alongside local beer legends Watts River Brewery. The event will also have a pop-up Cellars Gin Bar to keep drinks afloat and serve those must-have winter meals.
The Koala picnic lawn will be dotted with teepees and open fires, as well as a bonfire to sit on while live musicians ring your night out. You’ll also receive a reusable, BPA-free wine glass to use throughout the evening as you stroll through the sanctuary‘s beautiful bush and visit the Wildlife Center’s public gallery.
Funds raised at the event will help Healesville Sanctuary continue the incredible work they do at their wildlife hospital, one of the largest in Australia. As one of Koala’s primary rehabilitators following last year’s bushfires, their work is worth raising a drink.
Zoo members can purchase tickets for just $ 5, while tickets for non-members are available for $ 50, but children under the age of fifteen can enter for free. Everything takes place on Saturday July 24 and Sunday July 25 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm for tastings. Get your tickets here.
