Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s winter illuminations are back in 2021. Here’s what you need to know

The Illuminations Trail, which is Yorkshire’s largest light display, creates a memorable and atmospheric walk through the park.

The dazzling lantern display includes a giant T-Rex dinosaur, light-up animals, light-up pillows, immersive rainbow lights and many other light-up decors.

Families can warm up with food and hot drinks available from take-out outlets along the way.

The spectacular Yorkshire Wildlife Illuminations will air on select dates between November 2021 and January 2022.

Evening festivities are open to the public on select dates from November through Christmas and early January. The Lights and Lanterns Trail should take about 60-90 minutes.

Chris White, Guest Experience Manager, said: “We are incredibly thrilled to have the pleasure of hosting Winter Illuminations again this year.

“Visitors will be overwhelmed by these giant screens. They are truly breathtaking and we are delighted to have been able to host the Illuminations.

“The displays will install the magic of Christmas for our visitors here at the park and we can’t wait for everyone to see it over the next few weeks.”

This year’s trail will explore four major themes – Under the Sea, World of Fantasy, Animal Adventure and Fairy-tale Kingdom – along the way.

The animals are not visible during the evening lantern trail, but Yorkshire Wildlife Park will be offering group tickets during the day to allow visitors to enjoy a full day with the animals and then the illuminated trail later.

Admission is by advance reservation only.

The Winter Illuminations will take place on the following dates:

From Thursday November 18 to Sunday November 21, 2021.
